ABOUT ME
I'm Andrew Simpson, and like most artists, I’ve been drawing and painting my whole life. Growing up as a late '90s kid, my passion for art came from the games, movies, and cartoons I watched and loved. From an early age, I was creating comics, superheroes, dragons, and all that cool stuff that sparked my imagination.

Over the years, my art has evolved tremendously. With over five years of formal art education and countless hours spent painting and drawing, it's been amazing to see my progress. What excites me the most is knowing that I will continue to grow and hone my craft even further.

Most recently, I had the incredible opportunity to work with Flying Bark on the Disney Plus exclusive Marvel What IF seasons 2 and 3 as a Layout Artist and Background Painter. This experience has been a significant milestone in my career, allowing me to bring my artistic vision to a larger audience.

Lately, I've discovered a new love for oil painting, particularly En Plein Air (outdoor) painting. I've embarked on an ambitious project to create 100 oil paintings as a way of journaling my progress and learning in this new medium. I'm currently up to 20 paintings and aim to complete one every week. This series has been a rewarding challenge, allowing me to explore the nuances of light, color, and nature in a completely different way.

My work is a reflection of my love for storytelling and my fascination with vibrant, dynamic visuals. Whether I'm working on detailed backgrounds or creating compelling Oil Paintings, my goal is always to bring a unique perspective and a high level of craftsmanship to every project.
